I'd like help breaking up with my alarm organisation, with a purpose to contain upgrading the cell gadget on my alarm panel, and operating out which offerings I can get elsewhere.
I actually have a Honeywell Home Lynx Touch 5210 alarm panel which is ready to lose touch with the critical monitoring station due to the decommission of 3G mobile carrier. My alarm enterprise need to fee me $299 for upgrading to a Resideo LTEM-P communicator. In addition to far off monitoring, I have the TotalConnect app with far flung alarm arm/disarm, far flung door free up, and a separate Hikvision app for faraway video ofcameras. I'm paying $70/month for this, which I think is excessive.
I am going emigrate the cameras to a Synology NAS and placing them up on Synology Surveillance Station, so I no longer need to get that from the alarm business enterprise. I do not really care about getting faraway door unencumber through the alarm gadget; if the brand new service would not provide that I ought to improve to a more moderen door lock that is compatible with HomeKit. So truly, all I want is a carrier that provides tracking over LTE and an app with remote alarm arm/disarm, and I'll want to improve my hardware to a like minded LTE communicator.
Alternatively, if I'm already spending cash on upgrading to LTE, is this the time to move all in on HomeKit and upgrade to a Honeywell Lyric Controller? Would that be backward well suited with my present sensors?
